In part three we discuss Ron receiving call on August 19, 2021, from a friend saying that Steve Miller’s long-time drummer of 33 years, the great Gordy Knutson, had a last-minute personal matter that meant he would be unavailable to perform on the 21st. Ron had two days to study for a show at the Jones Beach Amphitheater in New York, then the setlist was changed!. Ron was asked to play in Gordy’s place at that show, which he did, and shortly thereafter,Gordy decided to move on from the band, and Ron was asked to join full-time.

Ron’s other main touring band, other than Steve Miller is Revisiting Creedence, (formerly Creedence Clearwater Revisited} Original CCR Drummer, Stu Clifford had decided to stop playing live and retire. Since Ron was the backup drummer for Stu, it seemed just natural. to ask if Ron wanted fill the spot. Revisiting Creedence has toured the world to sellout crowds
